One Tired Nurse

So I went back to work today. That probably was a mistake being just three days from my surgery. Oh well what can I say, I'm a hard headed nurse. We make the worst patients! So I went to the office with the expectation of seeing "a few"--3 maybe 4 pts--and then working on paperwork and staying in the office. Well that didn't work out so well. I think I ended up seeing like 8. I had to bend over to clean out this lady's stump and redress it--took me forever. She had a knee amputation that had got infected (it was SO nasty!! I took a picture but I'll spare yall...yeah for those of you who have never had abdominal surgery, it really hurts to bend over!! It ended up being 5 when I got off. Why is itwhenever I plan to get off early it never happens! It was one thing after another. By the time I got home I was so tired that when my husband said something about "medical bills" I started crying (I'm telling you people its these bc pills! Make me so dang moody) So I cried for a few minutes, did some laundry--my way of coping lol--then Faith (my sissy) made me

supper--under the instruction of her "bossy" big sis! So three hours later, a Lortab, TV, and my computer, I'm feeling much better! Word of advice to anyone having surgery; take plenty

of time off to rest fully! :-) Oh and apple pie à la mode yummy!
